Why do people rave about the Sydney opera house?
If this was in a British town it would be despised as a local eyesore. I know it was designed by a Brit but here people would be petitioning to have it pulled down as it looks so unattractive.
Its architechtually different, with some features exclusive to it, and so by some it can be seen as great but most Aussies, once they’ve seen it, consider it to be just another building. We’re not the ones raving about it.
