can you explain [as simply as possible] the strategy that unlocks the most difficult sudoku? i always work out?
the medium and easy ones, but i am always relying on an educated guess to complete the hardest ones, and its 50/50 whether i get them right or not.
what is the last piece of the jigsaw i’m not getting strategy-wise, that will enable me to complete all sudoku even the hardest ones?
I’m afraid it’s just a case of trial and error in your head.
When you get to a point when all of the empty squares could be 2 or more numbers you have to imagine you’ve filled it in with one and follow the chain of consequences. until you prove it wrong!
e.g lets say you have a square that could be 5 or 9. You pick one…say 5 and see what happens. it would go something like this.. because that’s a 5 this one has to be a 3 so that one is a 4 and this has to be a 7, but wait it can’t be a 7 as there is already a 7 in this row. = the first square must have been a 9.
