Need to install uPVC windows in a house which is completely made of wood frame ?
Does anybody know where/who/how i can find out how to replace upvc windows in a wood frame house. There are NO BRICKS. It is completely wood frame. I want to add french windows which means cutting out some of the wood frame but i cannot find anywhere on the web that can help me. Can anyone help!!!

My husband, a constuction worker, and I hired a carpenter and my husband reduced the cost by helping him install the windows. We also have a wood framed home.
Often the window place in your area will often make recommendations and in fact provide the service for an up charge. You may not want to use them but you can bet a ballpark figure to work off of.
What ever you do check with friends who have had a capable carpenter experience. Word of mouth is definitely the best. If you’re looking for a perfect job then consider the reference. What’s great for one person may not be for another.
You might want to ask things like are they a perfectionist? Is you aunt really picky? Has she used them again?
